Ocean House SIDING Contract
Haida Tourism is seeking a qualified contractor to perform siding repairs and underlay installation at Ocean House. The scope of work includes the repair of two gables and one section of the ground floor. Materials for the repairs will be provided.
Project Completion: 15th January 2025
Submission Deadline: 9th December, 2024 (4pm)
Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
Siding Repair:
· Inspect and repair damaged siding on two gables and one section of the ground floor.
· Ensure proper alignment and secure installation of the siding.
Underlay Repair:
· Remove any damaged underlay in the specified areas.
· Install new underlay as required, ensuring that it is properly sealed and secured.
Materials:
· Some materials (e.g. siding) will be provided by Haida Tourism; the contractor is required to use the provided materials in the repair work.
Workmanship and Safety:
· Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
· Ensure quality workmanship and that the repairs are durable and weatherproof.
Submission Requirements:
Interested contractors must submit a proposal including the following information:
Company Information:
· Company name, address, and contact information.
· Relevant experience in siding and underlay repair work.
Approach to Project:
· A brief description of how the work will be completed, including any methodologies or special considerations.
· Estimated timeline for completion of the repairs.
Pricing:
· A breakdown of the cost for labor and any additional costs (if applicable).
Insurance:
· The contractor shall ensure that all workers, subcontractors, and personnel engaged in the work are covered by appropriate Workers' Compensation Insurance and carry their own liability insurance in accordance with the laws and regulations of British Columbia. Proof of such insurance must be provided to the client upon request.
References:
· At least two references from previous projects involving similar repair work.
Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following factors:
Experience and qualifications of the contractor, Red Seal is considered an asset.
Approach to completing the work, including quality and safety considerations.
Cost and value for money.
Timeline for completion.

Terms and Conditions:

Haida Tourism reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal.
