A FOCUS TRAINING AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
 

A critical measure of HaiCo business success is the creation of job and career opportunities for Xaayda • Xaadée Haida people and Xaayda Gwaay.yaay Haida Gwaii. HaiCo will also seek to facilitate and encourage the development of small businesses who can respond to the service and supply contracts required to meet the demands of our operations.

HaiCo's vision is to build Xaayda • Xaadée capacity for all levels of business enterprise that will provide diverse opportunities for improving family incomes and communities through a group of successful Haida-owned, operated and managed companies.

Human Resources

HaiCo's Human Resources Plan integrates corporate goals and objectives from the approved Strategic Plan. Analysis of business needs and the current local labour market will guide activities over the next five years, particularly in regard to recruitment, training, personnel advancement and capacity development.

Strong leadership skills, business acumen and literacy including ability to create small businesses and new entrepreneurs willing to provide services to HaiCo.
