Haida Wild is actively collaborating with the Council of the Haida Nation on the Fisheries Resources Reconciliation Agreement (FRRA). Supporting Old Massett Village Council and Skidegate Band Council, Haida Wild will support the development of a unique Community-Based Fishing Program and 5-year Strategic Plan for each community. Each Council is engaging their Haida community-based fishers who are providing a valuable opportunity for sharing and feedback.
Haida Wild is delighted to welcome Yalh Kulh Jaadaas Laina Bell of the Yahgulaanas Iits-aa Clan of Gaw Tlagée Old Massett to the team. Thanks to a diverse background ranging from restaurant and fishing charter operations to commercial diving for Haida Fisheries, Yalh Kulh Jaadaas’ dynamic skillset is already proving to be valuable as our new Administrative Assistant. She will also fulfill a pivotal role in supporting the Gaw Tlagée and HlGaagilda communities as they develop their Fishing Program and Strategic Plans.
