HAICO Corporate Update
We’re Open For Business
Haida House at Tllaal is the first of our properties to reopen, albeit with some slight changes for accommodating all recommended health and safety provisions. We are now hosting guests for overnight stays, and the dining room will be serving dinner 7-nights per week.
Executive chef Kil Tlaa'sgaa Brodie Swanson has some sensational new culinary creations in store for us this year. Don’t forget to call in advance to book your table; reservations are a must!
Staycation Packages for Locals
Gwaii Trust’s 2021 Staycation Grant program for local residents has recently relaunched. While this Grant applies to any available dates or accommodations, we also have an exclusive Staycation Package, offering locals maximum value for their stimulus dollars.
Learn more about this Grant and find out how to apply on the Gwaii Trust Website. We look forward to having you as our guest this summer!
We’re Almost Finished
Pandemic-related delays have meant a prolonged wait for our highly anticipated new ocean view cabins. That said, we are thrilled to announce we expect the first six units to guest-ready later this month.
The remainder, making for 12 new private guest accommodations, will be filling reservations by late September. Learn More.
Preparing To Reopen
We have also been exceptionally busy at Ocean House’s new land-based location in Tlaga Gawtlaas New Town. Landscaping is actively underway, and plans are nearly complete for an attractive main guest entrance, of which the Council of the Haida Nation will oversee construction. We are aiming to reopen Ocean House this fall, subject to final utility connections - date to be announced.
DID YOU KNOW HAICO MASSET IS MOVING?
The former staff accommodations at Ocean House will soon be new office space for the Gaw Tlagée Old Massett-based HaiCo teams.
